Time Regained

I had already observed in more than one person that the affectation of praiseworthy sentiments is not the only mehtod of covering bad ones; another less obvious method is to make a display of these bad sentiments, so that at least one does not appear to be unaware of them.
Time Regained
We imagine dishonesty as the method by which one's real intention dallies beneath a more socially acceptable surface behaviour. And yet this overt display indicates a form of dishonesty, using a technique of flooding, in which the real intention is advanced by an exaggerated representation of itself.
