As night, so day

Wherein occlusion itself becomes the conduit. Just as, upon the occasion of a single auspicious dawn each year, a system of mirrors is set within the passages of the underworld and by which, illumination is directed, along a declining beam, into the abyss, so it must be that by aligning a succession of polished obsidian discs, a portion of the black depths may be drawn out and drawn on, oozing upwards, into the clean arrangements of the tower on the hill.
